HSS-Co5%, a higher-performance high-speed steel (HSS) compared to HSS-DMo5, contains 5% cobalt and has a hardness of 65±1 HRC. Also named as M35 under the AISI standard, this material is used to produce circular saw blades for cutting the most challenging materials, such as stainless steel and metals with higher tensile strength (≥800 N/mm2 ), including titanium alloys. Saw blades made from HSS-Co5% significantly extend service life in these tough cutting applications.
HSS-DMo5 is also called M2 material under the AlSl standard, has a hardness of 64 ±1 HRC. This high-speed steel (HSS) is the standard material for manufacturing circular saw blades and is the most widely used HSS material globally. lt exhibits excellent toughness and high wear resistance. Circular saw blades produced from this material deliver ideal cutting performance for metal work pieces with medium-to-low tensile strength(≤800 N/mm2 ). Even in stainless steel cutting applications, the saw blades maintain good cutting performance.
 Featuring four distinct coatings, namely: Vapor coating、PVD TIN coating、 Multilayer PVD TiCN coating and Multlayer PVD TiAlN coating.
Vapor coating
Vapor helps to enhance the self-lubricating ability of the saw blade while maintaining its toughness during operation, prolonging the service life of the blade. It is particularly suitable for cutting materials with low tensile strength.
PVD TIN coating
The Titanium Nitride (TiN)-coated HSS circular saw blade reduces surface friction coefficient, increases surface hardness, and enhances heat resistance, toughness, wear resistance, and anti-adhesion properties, thereby effectively protecting the blade and extending its service life. It also improves cutting efficiency by minimizing burrs and tooth adhesion while increasing cutting speed, making it a highly cost-effective coating solution.
Multilayer PVD TiCN coating
The Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN)-coated circular saw blade offers high hardness, a low friction coefficient, and superior wear and anti-adhesion properties, thereby further enhancing cutting speed and extending the blade's service life. TiCN-coated saw blades demonstrate exceptional effectiveness when cutting adhesive-prone metals such as copper and other non-ferrous metals, as well as stainless steel workpieces.
Multilayer PVD TiAN coating
TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) is a novel composite wear-resistant coating characterized by high hardness, excellent high-temperature resistance, superior thermal stability, and strong adhesion. It is particularly suitable for cutting high-tensile-strength materials such as stainless steel and other high-strength steels, as well as thick-walled pipes and solid workpieces. Additionally, due to its exceptional heat resistance and low thermal conductivity, TiAlN-coated saw blades are ideal for dry cutting and on-the-fly sawing applications.
