The forming process of hot push elbow is a process of accepting the common elbow pusher, mandrel and heating device, making the blank on the die move forward under the push of the pusher, heating, expanding and bending in the activity.
The deformation characteristic of hot push elbow is that the diameter of tube blank is determined according to the rule that the volume of metal material is stable before and after plastic deformation. The diameter of tube blank accepted is smaller than the diameter of elbow. The deformation process of blank is controlled by mandrel, so that the compressed metal in inner arc can be compensated to other parts thinned due to diameter expansion, and the elbow with uniform thickness can be obtained.
The forming process of hot push elbow has the characteristics of elegant shape, uniform wall thickness and continuous operation, which is suitable for mass production. Therefore, it has become an important forming method of carbon steel and alloy steel elbow, and has also been used in the forming of some stainless steel elbows. The heating methods of forming process include medium frequency or high frequency induction heating (the heating circle can be multi circle or single circle), flame heating and reverberatory furnace heating. The heating method depends on the requirements of forming products and energy environment.
